Confession of sins is one of the dimensions to spiritual discipline. It means a disciple behold God in his holiness, sees his own limitations and inadequacies and then agrees with God as he acknowledged and confesses his sins.
Sometimes we should have received a letter from our heavenly father but because of sin and not untill we confess or make a confession of our sin to Him rather, those blessings will not come.
a disciple should aspire to live a life free of sin but should never indulge in self-deceit and pretends when a sin is discovered.
the Bible say if we claim to be without sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. As we go in our walk with God we will discover the aspect of our lives we need to work on and should respond to by confessing such inadequacies.
The Bible is replete with examples of people who walked and work with God. Yet at some since sucking their lives.
David the man after God's heart is a biblical example of a servant of God who confesses his sin.
Isaiah the blunt prophet is another example he has been declared woes on others before he also saw himself in the light of God holiness and acknowledge his inadequacies.
Daniel also identified the sins of his nation and confess to him before God.
