“And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you ” (Matthew 28:7 KJV)

Everybody, man or woman, likes a place of authority and power. This is one of the assurances which keeps us under Jesus’ control. He said “Be not afraid”. When we have known that all powers had been given to Jesus both in heaven and in earth, why should we fear! “Be not afraid” strengthens us the more.
The power given to Jesus is to exalt Him above everything. The power includes: authority to rule, authority to reign, to rescue the perishing, to forgive sins, power to judge, power to reprimand.

To us, God gives authority to rule the people of the earth and gives us dominion over all the creatures of the earth. But the recipient of Divine power of God is His son, Jesus. He has power to cast out devils, to preach the word, to forgive sins, to raise the dead and to set free the captives and lot more. (Isaiah 61:1-3).

Friend, Jesus says, “fear not”. If the Lord is with us, whom shall we fear? Shall we fear powers, principalities, wicked spirit in high places, the rulers of this world or the kings and queens of Persia? No. The Bible says, “Ye are of God, little children and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). He also promises to be with us till the end of the world. Isaiah 14:5 says, “Our strength comes from the Lord, who is mighty in powers”. “Fear not for I am with thee”, is the final assurance.
