Many find it so easy to withdraw at the sight of any slight confrontation. There is no guarantee of safety when you seek to withdraw; if you withdraw, you are on your own. Don’t take off, but stand still and you will see the salvation of God coming alive in your situation. Don’t seek to quit, we are not of them that draw back.
We are of them that remain unto the saving of the soul. If the Israelites had turned back as some of them suggested, because of the threat of the Red sea; they would have gone without God’s backing. No matter how thick the confrontation is, the testimony is not behind, it is ahead. If you choose to retreat, you stand to lose; but, if you will go in the full assurance that God has gone ahead of you, you shall embrace victory.
Having done all, God expects you to stand. Stand in the certainty of help from above, stand seeing all that God has divinely earmarked for you with the eyes of faith.
Refuse to see the depth of the Red sea in front of you. Refuse to see the obstacles with crossing the Red sea. See yourself at the other side of the Red sea, singing the Lord’s song. Everything about your crossing the “Red sea” is in the power of God to deliver. Yours is simply to focus on the result and you will find God true in the situation. “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Moses fled at the sight of his “beloved” rod – his all time companion which had turned into a serpent. He must have reasoned that he would have nothing to do with the rod again; but God told him to go back and stand before the serpent and pick it up. Child of God, don’t take off, stand still. There is victory coming out of that crisis situation. One thing so certain is that you are not going under, you are going over. It is true that he who runs away will live to fight another day. If you choose to run today; the devil will ensure he keeps you on the run, exploited and devastated.
