Coming before your Heavenly Father in prayer is knowing that He has your highest good in mind. He is not against you and if God be for you, who can be against you? “Like a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For He knoweth our frame, He remembereth that we are dust “(Psalm 103:13-14)
He doesn’t expect you to come before him trying to put up something; He wants you to come just as you are. He knows your strength and your weakness. No matter how you come as his child; He has a back –up for you. His holy spirit is your “stand by”.
”For we know not what to pray for as we ought, but, the spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27).
There are some who come to God in prayer with all manner of borrowed voices. No! He is your father. He wants you just as you are. If your voice is not loud enough for Him, He is able to amplify if for you. If
He could amplify the footsteps of the four lepers at the gate of Samaria to sound like the sound of mighty chariots and horses, as they approached the camp of the Syrians; your voice is not an issue to Him. He is out to help you. He wants you to come before Him in a most relaxed state; He doesn’t want you to come before Him tensed. He is your heavenly Father and that is why He seeks to hear you from the standpoint of a Father and child relationship.
Coming before the Father is coming in worship:
“Enter into His gate with thanksgiving and into His court with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name”. Psalm 100:4.
He expects us to come before Him knowing fully well that He is able and willing, no matter what the issue is. That is why He seeks you to thank Him ahead of whatever you have to ask of Him. He wants your prayer to exude confidence in His ability:
“For He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”. Hebrews 11:6.
