Imagine the following picture: a ship in the middle of the sea in a great storm and on the shore on the mainland a lighthouse that shines towards the sea and is the only guide for this ship in the immensity of the ocean.
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; May I never be ashamed. Help me and deliver me in your justice; Tilt your ear and save me.
Psalms 71:1-2
This same picture is the one that presents that psalm, for that ship that is in the middle of the storm in the ocean, the light represents its destiny, a reference of escape from all the danger that it is living, even from the destruction that is presented to him, the psalmist David who begs the Lord asking for his life knowing that he is like that light that can free him from the shadow or from the great storm that he may be experiencing at that moment.
We all need shelter, every day. We need that light that guides us towards the safe harbor, towards a better place than where we are and then regain strength to continue, just as the psalmist says, we need a rock of refuge where we can continually turn and in this way help us and free us in Justice.
We just have to search, God is within our reach, all his wonders have been prepared for us and the only distance is our faith. God is a father of mercy and has unconditional love for us even when we think we have forgotten him.
Let's take action just like the psalmist that even in the midst of the storm we are facing let's cry out to the Lord as our refuge, let's cry out in prayer because God is our Safe Harbor everything we ask God will make him come to our call and will may his promise be fulfilled in us, he will not abandon us and with his eternal love he will take care of us, that is your God, that is my God!

Imaginemos el siguiente cuadro: un barco en medio del mar en una gran tormenta y en la orilla en tierra firme un faro que alumbra hacia el mar y es la única guía para este barco en la inmensidad del océano.
En ti, oh Jehová, me he refugiado; No sea yo avergonzado jamás. Socórreme y líbrame en tu justicia; Inclina tu oído y sálvame.
Salmos 71:1-2
Este mismo cuadro es el que se presentan ese salmo, para ese barco que está en medio de la tormenta en el océano, la luz representa su destino, una referencia de escape de todo el peligro que está viviendo, aún de la destrucción que se le presenta, el salmista David que suplica al señor pidiendo su vida sabiendo que él es como aquella luz que le puede liberar de la sombra o de la gran tormenta que puede estar viviendo en ese momento.
Todos necesitamos refugio, a diario. Necesitamos esa luz que nos guíe hacia el puerto seguro, hacia un mejor lugar del que estamos y luego recobrar fuerzas para continuar, así como bien dice el salmista, necesitamos una roca de refugio donde recurrir continuamente y de esta manera nos socorra y nos libere en justicia.
Solamente debemos buscar, Dios está a nuestro alcance todas sus maravillas han sido preparada para nosotros y en la única distancia es nuestra fe. Dios es un padre de misericordia y tiene hacia nosotros amor incondicional aún cuando creemos que nos hemos olvidado de él.
Tomemos acción así como el salmista que aún en medio de la tormenta que estemos enfrentando clamemos al señor como nuestro refugio, clamemos en oración porque Dios es nuestro Puerto Seguro todo lo que le pidamos Dios lo hará acudir a nuestro llamado y hará que se cumpla su promesa en nosotros, no nos abandonará y con su amor eterno nos cuidará, ese es tu Dios, ese es mi Dios!
