1 Samuel 17
4 Then a paladin, whose name was Goliath, from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp, and was six cubits high and a span high.
5 And he wore a bronze helmet on his head, and wore a chain mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of bronze.
6 He had bronze greaves on his legs, and a bronze javelin between his shoulders.
7 The shaft of his spear was like a loom roller, and the iron of his spear had six hundred shekels of iron; and his squire went before him.
8 And he stood up and cried out to the squads of Israel, saying to them: Why have you put yourselves in battle order? Am I not the Philistine, and you Saul's servants? Choose from among yourselves a man who will come against me.
9 If he could fight me, and overcome me, we will be your servants; and if I could more than him, and I overcome him, you will be our servants and you will serve us ...
There is nothing stronger and more powerful on this earth than having God as a father and we recognize that we are his children because when this happens our life takes new directions and takes a new destiny that is framed in the hands of God.
Anyone could say that we are all children of God and that God guides us all the same, but the Bible shows us the opposite. It affirms that although God is love and loves us all, not everyone receives the promises and blessings that he has for him. The humanity
John 1:12
12 But to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave authority to become children of God;
(RV1960)
This verse affirms that only those who have received him and believe in his name are children. David a sheep keeper had recognized God as a father and lived trusting God on his way but one day his people were confronted by a giant who tormented them day and night and after all the protocol that God used to choose him as the young man who was going to face the giant David took advantage of the situation to demonstrate that God is more than enough and that there is no giant in this world that can overcome him
This Biblical story of David and Goliath teaches us principles that we can apply to face the limitations tribulations or giants that appear in life and that seem difficult to us because we must understand that for God nothing is impossible when you believe.
However, in order to fight against these giants, it is of utmost importance to know God, seek him and intimidate him by day and by night, because someone who does not know God can never believe him and no one who considers himself their son will be able to fight against adversity in the name of God
In that same order of ideas we must know what are the weapons that we must have to be able to win since our weapons are not carnal but spiritual and we must also focus our faith in God and not let anything in this world intimidate us.
David confronted Goliath, beat him and killed him armed only with a sling, his cane, his shepherd's bag and 5 smooth stones. However these were not the only weapons of David since he had the great power of God to move spiritually in every field I will tread on
