Isaiah 40: 1-3
Jehovah comforts Zion
40 Comfort, comfort, my people, says your God.
2 Speak to the heart of Jerusalem; loudly tell her that her time is over, that her sin is forgiven; who has received double from the hand of Jehovah for all his sins.
3 Voice crying out in the wilderness: Prepare the way for Jehovah; straighten the road in solitude to our God.
(RV1960)
The world needs God and every person at some point in their life goes through situations in which they do not need consolation from another person because people cannot really console in some strong cases another person, but this is the sole task of God.
It is for this reason that the man who ignores the mercy of God in some cases cannot be consoled nor find rest in adversity.
God has promised to console his people and we know that if this promise is given to men it means that we would have moments of affliction since today the majority of the world is going through tribulations and they need consolation from God since what we are experiencing no human being until now has been able to stop it and that is where we need God's intervention
We Christians are convinced that only from God comes our comfort and hope, therefore today we raise our eyes and our gaze to heaven and seek with all our hearts his presence because only from him we will receive the comfort we need.
God is immensely great and powerful, his greatness is sovereign and he has future plans for the good of the world for all men and women who decide to look for him at all times.
God is speaking to the heart of man so that they repent and turn away from sin because he is great and powerful saves heals restores and forgives our sins when we recognize him and turn away from sin
If you decide to hear the voice of God through his word and seek his forgiveness, you will surely receive comfort from him.
