Of all the gifts that God can give people, participation with Christ in their sufferings is an expression of the highest confidence and the greatest honor. "Because it is given to you for the love of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him."
(Philippians 1, 29)
Many people cannot make clear plans for the future. His life is unstable. They cannot see how this or that can end, and this often fills them with fear and anxiety.
Let us remember that the children of God in this world lead the lives of strangers. We don't have enough wisdom to plan our own lives. Our future does not depend on us. "By faith, Abraham obeyed the call to go to the country he had inherited, and left, not knowing where he was going." (Heb. 11, 8)
Christ during his earthly life did not establish plans for himself. He accepted the plan that God had outlined for him, and the Father revealed his plans to him day after day. So we must depend on God so that our life is an explicit fulfillment of his will. As we trust our way to God, He will guide our steps.
Too many make plans for a bright future, yet make the biggest mistake. Let God make plans for you. Trust your leadership like a little boy, because "He watches over the feet of his saints." 1 (Samuel 2, 9).
God never guides his children in a way that they themselves would not choose if they knew the end from the beginning and saw all the glory of the task, which they perform as his co-workers.
When Christ called the disciples to follow him, he did not show flattering hopes for a good life. He promised them neither wealth nor worldly glory; and they did not set any conditions on what they should receive. To Matthew, who was sitting and collecting taxes, the Savior said: “Follow me. And he, having left everything, stood up and followed him. "Luke 5, 27. 28. Matthew did not hesitate; he did not demand an advance equal to that received in his previous position. He followed Christ without any doubt or slowdown and was pleased that he would be with the Savior, listen to his words and work with him in his work.
Imagine, when Jesus told Peter and his companions to follow him, they immediately left their boats and nets. Some of these students had family members who needed their support; But when they heard the Savior's invitation, they did not hesitate and did not ask how they should live and support their family. They were obedient to the call.
How many of us called Christians are able to follow Christ honestly, and according to commandments, do not allow your way to be deviated by the temptations that you find along the way, to learn and demonstrate what is "the greatest honor".
