3 John 1: 2 KJV
"Beloved, I want you to be prosperous in all things, and to have health, just as your soul prospers."
John's desire in his heart for Gaius who was a beloved brother in the church. John called him "beloved" four times in this epistle. Gaius was a brother in Christ whom John knew and loved in the Lord.
But this word shows God's desire for all of his children. God wants us to be prosperous in all things and to be healthy just as our soul prospers.
As this word indicates "So" our prosperity, physical, emotional. Intellectual directly depends on our spiritual prosperity in our lives.
All your physical and mental prosperity will be proportional to your spiritual prosperity, that is why we must not neglect or downplay it.
There are many brothers in Christ who are spiritually ill. They may be in good physical health, but they are sick in spiritual health. And by the way, it is vital, a priority, for a child of God, a believer, who enjoys good spiritual health, without forgetting the physical aspect, of course.
- One of the keys to spiritual prosperity is to lead a life of devotion to God, to obey, and to strive with all your heart to do what pleases Him.
- Another key is to live a life of prayer and reading the word of God.
- Get up very early in the morning and seek the presence of the Father.
