STEWARDSHIP

in HeartChurch5 years ago

As Christians, we are called to serve God our King with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.

Just as Pharaoh was looking for a man to solve economic depression during his reign, God our eternal King is looking for children who understand the dynamics of God's kingdom and using their gifts, potentials to enhance the interest of God.

God created us primarily to serve Him. He has deposited gifts and potentials in us to facilitate this. As stewards, accountability and transparency of heart is vital in offering godly service.

Irrespective of our duty in the kingdom of God, we are not greater than the king and our service motivation in the kingdom should be to project the king not ourselves. In rendering service, we should not allow the king to suffer loss.

Irrespective of the position given to Joseph, He was second to the king but he never misused the opportunity given to him not forgetting that he is a steward or servant no matter the high position, he knew he was not greater than the master. Daniel in his reign, never allowed any loss of any sort, he was accountable for every service rendered.

There are basic traits that God looks for in a steward's life as a pre-condition for service and stewardship should be done with a deep sense of loyalty, commitment and faithfulness. Any man who doesn't have these traits isn't worthy to become a steward in the kingdom of God.

MATTHEW 25:21

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Vs. 21

A good steward receives reward for been a good steward. Service to the king carries both physical and spiritual rewards.

PROVERBS 22:29

Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Vs. 29

As stewards, we should have in mind that after a long time we will present our reports to the king an dour services in the kingdom can be classified into two which are the physical and the spiritual services.

PSALMS 100:1-5

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Vs. 1
Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Vs. 2
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Vs. 3
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Vs. 4
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all [1] generations. Vs. 5

In every services rendered physically and spiritually must be to God's glory and not to man's glory.

Even if a steward has more ability than the master, he is to do it to promote the king, he is to use is ability for the betterment of his king's.

As stewards, we are to work for our Master with the best of our ability with a smile on our faces because our Lord is good and His mercies endureth forever.

You right @nuella. That is our duty as stewards of God's kingdom.

A servant is never greater than his Master. Its a blessing to worship God. Its only when we get to heaven, that we will realise the joy and fulfillment in His presence fully

You right @tj4real. Even here on earth, there is a blessing for a faithful and loyal steward.
