Matthew 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
In the parable of Christ, the servant was given the liberty to manage the household without supervision.
He forgot himself in the pleasure and messed up, thinking that the master is not coming soon. But the Bible says that the master came unannounced.
Although this parable is symbolic of the rapture, let's look at the timing of the Master, Jesus Christ as it relates to real life situation.
What is that thing that God gave you to do as your sole purpose on earth? How are you going about your kingdom mandate?
Jesus can visit you anything, either by death or rapture. He can even decide to bless you by His Divine visitation.
But when He comes, will He find you doing your part faithfully?
This is a call to every careless sons and daughters to come back to their place of primary assignment. It's a call to abandon the pleasures of this world and come back to a place of habitation with Christ.
It's a call to eschew evil and the entanglement with sin. It's time to come back, fleeing from idolatry, immorality, envy, hatred and unforgiving attitude.
The Master shall come unannounced. When He comes, what shall we answer Him if we are found in iniquity? What shall we give as an excuse for not loving one another?
What shall be our excuse for living in drunkenness, lies and laziness?
Let us retrace our steps, now that it's not too late.
Let's pray together.
Dear Father and Master of all, thank you for giving us multiple chances to fix our mess before your arrival. Please forgive us of our recklessness and grant us the grace to remain faithful to the end, in Jesus name. Amen.
