Hebrews 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
The love for righteousness and hatred for sin activates Divine anointing with the oil of gladness.
It is important to understand that when we are in love with righteousness, it means we are living in it and in oneness with it.
Also, hatred for sin is as crucial as love for righteousness. We can not love both righteousness and sin at the same time. Thus any support for sinful acts in other people disqualifies us from the oil of gladness irrespective of our love for righteousness.
Brethren, let us also be careful not to hate the doers of iniquity while hating the act. Let us with love bring sinful men to Christ through our gospel.
The oil of gladness is available, let us activate it in our lives by living in holiness and hating iniquity.

Dear Lord, thank you for the privilege to be anointed by you. Please help us to live in righteousness and hate sin in a time as this, in Jesus name. Amen.
