In one of His longest teaching to the disciples, Jesus assured us who follow Him not to worry about our earthly needs because our father knows all we need before we ask. He therefore assured us to "seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"
What are things? They are the needs we ask Him to meet- property, possessions, peace, good health, etc.
The window of Zarepath is an example of one who chose to seek God's kingdom before her personal needs for survival in a famine. The result was that her source of supply which would have fed her and her son once, never run dry through the drought.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that your survival as a child of God depends on the way the national economy goes, for you are operating under the economy of heaven.
The way to seek God's kingdom is to read the Bible and do what it says, to obey the Lord's commandments and bear fruits for Him: fruits of Christian character (filled with the fruit if the spirit), soul winning into the kingdom and doing good works (helping the needy, the sick, the homeless, the prisoner, etc).
The things you want to have are on your fingertips if you seek God's kingdom and His righteousness, which is willing to live holy lives that glorify His name.
The kingdom of God is within you.
