As Jacob journeyed to meet his uncle, Laban; he got to a place that seemed so ordinary and laid there to sleep. He had a divine visitation and the Lord spoke clearly to him that He was with him and He was not going to leave him until He had done all He had spoken concerning him. It was such an awesome encounter; that, Jacob woke up and proclaimed – “The Lord is in this place; and I knew it not”.
Imagine the level of magnitude of encounter he had when he was not even conscious of the presence of the Lord. If so much can happen when we are unconscious of the presence of the Lord; what do you think will happen when we begin to walk in the consciousness of his presence?
Here was Jacob on a self appointed path; seeking to escape from the wrath of his brother Esau, having stolen his brother’s blessing: what do you think would have happened if he was on a divinely appointed path? In the words of the songwriter – “When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, what a glory He sheds on our way. While we do His good will He abides with us still and with all who will trust and obey”.
God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ever ask or think. No matter how glorious you think it is right now, with God, it can be more glorious. God in His mercies seeks to move us from strength to strength and from glory to glory. With God, it can only be better.
It is better when you choose to work in the consciousness of God’s presence. Imagine the blessings that flow into your life, when you do not know enough, to ask. What do you think will happen if you allow God to illuminate your heart by the knowledge of His will and you are able to approach Him in the light of Hid divine purposes for your life?
Every day the Lord allows for you here on earth, is an opportunity to have a better and a more glorious walk with Him. God seeks for you to have it better as the days go by; because He expects you to grow in the knowledge of His will. “The path of the just is as a shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” Proverbs 4:18.
