It is often said that a closed mouth is a closed destiny. In a world where men rule by their words; you cannot afford to keep sealed lips. “If thou shout confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart … thou shalt be saved” Romans 10:10. There is so much about salvation; be it salvation from sin, bondage or poverty that has to do with what comes out of your mouth. The quality of life you live has so much to do with the quality of your talking.
You cannot afford to keep sealed lips when you are confronted with difficulties. The Bible says for you to speak to your mountains – “Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith” Mark 11:23.

Many are busy talking about their problems and difficulties, instead of talking to them. If you see anything in your life that you don’t like, those things which the Word of God forbids for you; don’t talk about them, talk to them. Tell them what the Word of God says and you will see them fissile out as the Word of God has proclaimed. It is very important that you know what the Word of God says about your situation. It is the light that dispels the darkness the enemy brings to becloud and compound your situation.
Speak to enthrone God’s divine agenda over the manipulations of the enemy around you, for the Lord promises that you shall have whatsoever you say. Joseph had a dream and he spoke it out. When dreams are verbalized, they become attainable; because, you will have whatsoever you say. The Bible says – “ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence” Isaiah 62:6.
Your mention of the name of the Lord attracts the rage of the enemy and you cannot afford to be silent. Speak to curtail his activities, speak to set him on the run: “resist the devil and he will flee from you” James 4:7b. Your resistance has to be loud and consistent. In every challenge you are confronted with, God longs to hear what you have to say, likewise the devil.
