YOU HAVE AN INEXHAUSTIBLE PORTION WITH GOD

Our scripture text is a pointer to the fact that you have an inexhaustible portion with God. God will not give you what He cannot recreate for you. Divine resources are inexhaustible; because of the back-up God provides for everything He makes available to you. The young man in our scripture text who approached his father for the portion of his father’s goods due him; obviously felt he had exhausted his portion with his father.

After squashing what was meant to be his portion of all that his father had, he opted to return to his father as a hired servant, instead of languishing in hunger in a far away country. Surprisingly, when he returned to his father; he discovered that it was a new beginning altogether, with so much of fresh supplies. We serve the God of everlasting goodness.

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not. There are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him” Lamentations 3:22-24. There is nothing about you and His provisions for your life that are not subject to renewal.

Every effort the devil expends in struggling with whatever God bestows on you, turns out to be wasted effort; because, no matter how defaced it turns out to be, God will show up with a renewed version of it. God has a spare, He has a duplicate; there is no power or personality that can beat the resources He has put in place for the enhancement of your wellbeing.

David in Psalm 23 prayed extolling the restorative power of God towards him; when he said – “The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He restoreth my soul” Psalm 23:1&3. There is nothing the Lord gives to you which the enemy can successfully take away from you. No matter how successful the devil feels he has become in any move against your well being; he shall embrace frustration; because you have an inexhaustible portion with God.
