I have had special moments of joy produced by everything we generate in this world, such as wealth, business, family successes and other important situations in my life. However, I wonder: why is joy short-lived?

Then my soul will rejoice in Jehovah; He will rejoice in his salvation.
Psalms 35: 9 New King James Version (NKJV)
It is very simple to explain. The joy that produces the well-being that the world can generate through its wealth or money, is only momentary, however, the joy that comes from God through salvation in Christ, is an ineffable joy and never ends. God's joy comes from eternity, David said that in the presence of God there is fullness of joy. This leads us to understand that the joy of soul salvation is a joy greater than what the world can give us.
Salvation in Christ provides us with the most excellent joy that anything else created by God can provide us.
Nothing in this world can bring us constant and permanent joy. I assure you, that neither the money, nor the best company you can have, nor the most successful and brilliant family that can surround you. This is all temporary. David experienced it being king of Israel, he had everything, that is, wealth in abundance, beautiful women, quantities of children, even the power of the kingdom of Israel was in his hands; However, when he committed the adultery and murder of Uriah, he felt he was the most miserable man on earth, and he pleaded with God not to take away the joy of salvation. When David repented of his wickedness, God restored divine joy to him and he became a man with a God-like heart. David knew that nothing could make him experience joy again in his life, if it was not God's forgiveness.
The word we shared at the beginning of this publication confirms:
** Then my soul will rejoice in Jehovah; He will rejoice in his salvation. Psalms 35: 9 New King James Version (NKJV) **
Thank you for sharing the word @oscar20, if we should boast of knowing Christ and the joy that his presence produces, stay connected with the changes that we will be making in our community so that he continues to enjoy the blessings of God with responsibility in the work to be done.
