La Palabra de Dios en la mente del ser humano es neutralizador del temor. Esa fue mi experiencia hace más de 18 años caminando rumbo a mi casa, embarazada de mi primogénita; me sorprendieron dos antisociales con armas en sus manos, uno persiguiendo al otro. Al percatarme del peligro mi corazón se llenó de miedo, pero inmediatamente vino a mi mente el salmo 91 que mi padre me había enseñado: “caerán a tu lado mil, Y diez mil a tu diestra; más a ti no llegaran”, salmo91 esa frase solamente de la Palabra de Dios calmo mi corazón, me lleno de confianza y paz…nunca olvidare que la Palabra de Dios es un arma poderosa contra el temor.
The Word of God in the human mind is neutralizing fear. That was my experience more than 18 years ago walking towards my house, pregnant with my first-born; I was surprised by two antisocials with weapons in their hands, one chasing the other. Realizing the danger, my heart was filled with fear, but immediately Psalm 91 that my father had taught me came to my mind: “a thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but they will not reach you ”, Salmos 91 that phrase only from the Word of God calmed my heart, filled me with confidence and peace … I will never forget that the Word of God is a powerful weapon against fear.
Imagino algo similar experimento Abraham cuando también estuvo atemorizado y vino a él la Palabra de Dios. Génesis 15:1 dice: “Después de estas cosas vino la palabra de Jehová a Abram en visión, diciendo: No temas, Abram; yo soy tu escudo”. Genesis 15 Dios se revelo a Abraham como un escudo protector, es Dios la garantía de seguridad en medio de amenazas.
I imagine something similar Abraham experienced when he was also afraid and the Word of God came to him. Genesis 15: 1 says: “After these things the word of Jehovah came to Abram in vision, saying: Fear not, Abram; I am your shield." Genesis15 God revealed himself to Abraham as a protective shield, God is the guarantee of security in the midst of threats.

El miedo es un enemigo invisible por amenazas visibles como el Covid´19. Hoy millones de seres humanos nos enfrentamos a este gigante ante la posibilidad de contagio, la sensación de distancia, abandono, o perdida física de amigos y familiares, la falta de libertad para salir a trabajar y producir dinero, entre otros factores y no es para menos.
Fear is an invisible enemy due to visible threats like Covid´19. Today millions of human beings face this giant before the possibility of contagion, the feeling of distance, abandonment, or physical loss of friends and family, the lack of freedom to go out to work and make money, among others factors and it is not for less.
But God and His Word are our security and trust. Abraham, Moses, Joshua as many men and women of God were encouraged with the same words that are repeated over and over again in the scriptures: "Do not fear", "God is with me". Keep clinging to God and His Word and fear will flee, He is your protective shield!
