Era 01 Octubre del 2020, en mi país escaseaba la gasolina, así que me toco volver a pie a mi casa que afortunadamente quedaba a quince minutos del centro y mercado de la ciudad, al regresar me encontré con un anciano que estaba sentado con sus manos tapando su rostro el cual descansaba su cara sobre sus piernas. Era mas de la 1pm, así que saque un cambur de una de mis bolsas y se lo entregue, el anciano se sorprendió y sonrió agradecido, estaba descansando pues iba subiendo la cuesta, mi corazón se enterneció al darme cuenta del asombro cuando me miro, sentí un profundo dolor de ver a ese anciano en tal condición, enseguida el comenzó a pelar y comer su cambur, en mi corazón se dibujo una enorme sonrisa de satisfacción, había ayudado con algo sencillo pero valioso a ese anciano.

October 2020, in my country there is a shortage of gasoline, so I had to walk back to my house, which fortunately was fifteen minutes from the city center and market, when I returned I found an old man who was sitting with his hands covering his face which rested his face on his legs, it was after 1pm so I took a banana from my bag and gave it to him. He was surprised and smiled gratefully, he was resting as he was going up the hill, my heart was touched when I realized the amazement when he looked at me, I felt a deep pain to see that old man in such a condition, immediately began to peel and eat his cambur, in my heart a huge smile of satisfaction was drawn, I had helped that old man with something simple but valuable.

Cada vez que damos sea en pequeñas o grandes proporciones nos sentimos felices de dar. Ayer mi vecina toco mi puerta para darme un pedazo de pizza en el mismo plato que una semana atrás yo le había pasado también otro pedazo de pizza, mis hijas, un vecino y yo nos alegramos con lo que nos daba y se que mi vecina también estuvo alegre de recibir y dar. Sin duda, no hay que ser millonario para contribuir, pero si nos hace mas felices la existencia.

Every time we give, be it small or large, we feel happy to give. El texto bíblico inicialmente expresado muestra la gran satisfacción del pueblo de Israel al contribuir voluntariamente para la casa de Dios. David el rey mas prominente de Israel entrego de sus riquezas a Dios y menciono todo lo que preparo: oro, plata, bronce, hierro, madera, piedras de ónice, negras, de diversos colores, toda clase de piedras preciosas y mármol en abundancia. Pero el pueblo también ofreció y se alegro, puedo imaginar la inmensa satisfacción en sus corazones.
