Presentiment of Events

Fully understanding significant world events as they happened yesterday and unfold today invariably requires an understanding of the long arc of history; that is, knowledge about how the human world really works. Moreover, without that understanding, it is impossible to devise and implement an effective response. This is certainly the case in the world of 2021. — Robert J. Burrowes

Presentiment of Events

Founder of Anti-Communist Society (ACS), Bessie Burchett wrote in a pamphlet in 1939, which is emblematic of her anti-Roosevelt and anti-Jews sentiment:

“The president is a traitor. We must do all we can to break down the president, and have the people know what kind of man he really is, and then proceed to impeach him. If Hitler does come here, he should drop a bomb on the right place in New York. You all know where I mean. ... a skyscraper full of Jews.

Sixty-two years later, on September 11, 2001, two New York City skyscrapers exploded which fulfilled Burchett’s presentiment of events.

Another seditious insurrectionist, William Dudley Pelley (1890-1965), formed a paramilitary organization called Silver Legion whose silver-shirted members numbered around 15,000 at its height. He wrote that the Great Pyramid of Giza was a cosmic device that could be used to foretell future events, including the Second Coming of Jesus. He believed that Jesus would return, get rid of the Jews, and build a paradise on earth. According to his calculation, September 17, 2001, is the exact date when the Jews would be eradicated from the earth. This is six days off from September 11, 2001, when the twin towers would be “bombed”.

Pelley’s scapegoating of a particular community as the cosmic problem is an abuse of Christian doctrine. Not a proper application of Christian teaching. Because Christianity is a philosophy that identifies sin (rather than identifying any aspect of creation) as the cosmic problem.

According to Christianity, all creation is good in the beginning, but since the fall of man, all creation (including Pelley himself) has fallen short of the glory of God (and there's none that is good thereafter). Sin, which has tainted all creation, is the cosmic problem. Not just one aspect of creation (as there's no aspect of creation that's free from sin).

Pelley's identification of the Jews as the cosmic problem is therefore in conflict with Christian doctrine.

Both Burchett’s and Pelley’s ideas were published in 1939: it has to be said however that the two individuals (in light of the above argument) weren’t the type of people who lived out the correct rendering of a Christian worldview.

Synchronicity

Burchett and Pelley wrote their bad ideas in 1939. Sixty-two years later, the presentiment of their bad ideas manifested on September 11, 2001, when the global jihad persons flew two planes into the twin New York City skyscrapers.

How can we interpret such synchronicities? Are we useless eaters if we don't understand such synchronicities? At least in the eyes of those in the know?
