1 Corinthians 15:52-58 KJV
"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
[53]: "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
[54]: "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."
[55] "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" 56 "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law."
[57]"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
[58]"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."

To be steadfast is to be resolute or dutifully firm and unwavering.
As believers in Christ, we are confident that our hope will not perish with this world. Christ has redeemed us from the sting and power of sin and death. We have assurance that when the Lord returns, we shall be caught up to be with Him in glory. This hope is both for the dead, and the living in Christ Jesus, this is why every genuinely born again child of God, is always in high spirits because one day, and sometime soon, we shall go to be with the Lord for all eternity in heaven.

Great rewards awaits us in God's Kingdom. We have beautiful mansions already prepared for us by the Lord. Many will be decorated with stars. There shall be a great feast to celebrate the Saints home coming. In fact, it shall be a glorious ceremony with the heavenly hosts.

We are therefore encouraged to remain steadfast and unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labour in the Lord, is not in vain. Be steadfast in evangelism. Be steadfast in follow up of the converts.

Be steadfast in prayers. Be steadfast in supporting the Lord's work. Be steadfast in fellowship. Be steadfast in your study and meditation on God's Word. Be steadfast in holiness and righteousness. Be steadfast in your obedience to God, and to His Word.
