About two months ago before the birth of hive blockchain, I penned this post which I took time to explain what a true community represents. Hive blockchain has proven within its first one month that it is not a sole entity, but a truly decentralized community of real people united in purpose towards the acquisition and promotion of the true tenets of blockchain technology both in governance and operations.
This #POSH initiative collabotrately soonsored by blocktrades, @theycallmedan, @threespeak and @ocdb is another display of true community values to be shared by a group of people who love freedom, yet not trampling underfoot, the essence and values of what a true community stands for. Indeed, we're launching a journey to true thriving as the best Social blockchain that ever existed so far.
A community is a group of people who share something in common. Shared attributes is one of the features that truly define a community. Moreover, the strength of the connections among the people that make up a community is another strong feature. What makes a community powerful is the the characteristic of members "connecting". The extent of the connections determines the strength of the community.
This connection is whats allows for inter and intra connections which help to loop the diversities within the system. #POSH is here to strengthen the cords of connection between users and communities on hive Social-chain. Engagement is the life wire and the connection medium.
The cord that hold tight the strands of the community together is very much important as it makes the success of one aspect of the community to affect the other and vice versa. Hive has through this unifying factor of #posh tend to show the readiness to co-join people of varying beliefs and interest into a unifying purpose of creating wealth for all. This wealth not just of finance but also of knowledge.
As was pointed in this post, the whole world has been watching in awe to see how we've been united towards this purpose of building a true decentralized community. Many are now convinced and will be joining as, especially as we take a force of our success-stories to Twitter.
Forking out of steem was never an easy thing to have accomplished but for a formidable united community of freedom, #Freespeech and decentralized economy seekers like we have. The whole world was watching to see how we'll thrive and surely, community efforts and collaboration has made hive stayed and now we look forward to a truly decentralized future.
I therefore call on all my followers, fellow community builders and hivians wherever to come let us unite a force once more to share knowledge through engagement in the comments section. This engagement would also be a way to improve the financial lots of all who who will participate.
Thank you in advance.
How to participate in the #POSH Initiative
According to @Anomadsoul, participating in this initiative involves the following:
- Post High quality content on Hive and then follow the #POSH initiative rules
- Engage with meaningful, well thought comments on Posts that are #POSH
- Interact with the author on Twitter - perhaps a retweet, a favorite, a comment... or even better, a retweet with comment, so your own followers see the post and head to Hive.
More Details:
- The topic is open. You can post about whatever you want, it just needs to be high quality, just limit it to one post per day that you will be sharing on Twitter.
- On your Hive post, use the tag #POSH and post to a specific community - it doesn't matter which one, as long as it exists and it's got an audience. If you don't know of a community or can't decide where to post, then posting to the OCD community (174578) is for you.
- Share your Hive post on Twitter. Use the most characters on Twitter, make it appealing to the outside users - perhaps describe your post, clickbait, encourage others to read it, you pick - and use the hashtags #hive and #posh.
- At the bottom of your post, invite readers to comment on the post, as engagement MAY get rewarded due to the (challenge link) initiative. At the same time, leave a link to yout Twitter Post to show #ProofOfShare - #POSH.
- If you are a video creator, follow the same guidelines but post through @threespeak.
