There are many subtle ways the devil seeks to attach himself unto the children of God. Once he succeeds, he leaves you to go about your activities; while he nurtures the seed he has sown in your life, waiting for the day of harvest. True to the Scriptures; seed time and harvest time shall never cease. Before long, diverse manifestations begin to crop up in your life and you can’t know where they are coming from. They are attachments you allowed, there are seeds you took in, whose harvest have become inevitable.
These unruly manifestations range from evil habits, strange affections, ungodly inclinations; all of which seek to drown the very essence of your spirituality. They are seeds that crept in, during your unguarded hour and the devil demands that you pay dearly. Many pay with their souls and are drowned in eternal regrets and to the enemy, it becomes a work done. For you alive today and conscious of the activities of the enemy, you have to be on your guard.
A viper from the heat of the fire, we are told; fastened itself on Paul’s hand. There is none immune against heated situations. It is part of our walk on earth. They simply come to magnify the testimony of God’s redeeming love on our lips. What we are expected to guide against are those appalling tendencies and habits to seek to fasten themselves on us as a result of such heated situations.
Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. Tough people are those who like Paul, are able to shake off satanic attachments arising from the heat of situations we go through in life. They are not meant for your life; they are products of the fire and should be made to burn in the fire.
