While it is the will of God that every man should come to know Him and be saved, He will not impose this decision on anyone. From the beginning God granted man free will: "My Spirit shall not compete with men for ever ..." (Genesis 6:3). But it was as a result of man's involvement with sin. So God won't co-join with the flesh's sinful act. We need to pick where we're in for better. It revolves around man's desire to choose God or something else.
Over the ages, in the heart of man a great war occurs as to who to obey. This is a choice that we must all make, and God in His kindness and compassion implores us in Deuteronomy 30:19-20 to choose life.
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
