Instalada la llave del fregadero [ESP]/[ENG]
Saludos cordiales estimados amigos de la comunidad hogareña de @homesolutions, espero se encuentren muy bien en este fin de semana de carnaval.
Nuevamente con ustedes para llevarles el desenlace final de una historia que comenzó cuando se inundó el cajón del fregadero de la cocina y que ayer llegó a feliz término cuando pude conseguir la llave adecuada y se hizo el proceso de su instalación.
Como ya les había comentado en anterior oportunidad, se le cambiaron las mangueras y las llaves de arresto porque estaban en mal estado, pero resultó que la filtración principal venia de la llave del fregadero y tuve que cambiarla.
La llave que compré me gustó mucho por tres razones: es de acero inoxidable, es pesada con la cabeza graduable y un dispensador que tiene dos tipos de salida: chorro y regadera. Además, tiene una pieza roscable que se aprieta manualmente por debajo sin necesidad de herramientas y la última razón es su precio: en el mercado habían llaves semejantes a ésta pero de mayor precio.
Enseguida de haber comprado la llave llamé al plomero para que hiciera la instalación. En realidad yo quería instalarla porque solo había que soltar las mangueras, sacar la llave dañada y colocar la nueva, fijándola al mueble de la cocina, pero como estoy operado del ojo no debo inventar y preferí que otro lo hiciera.
El plomero no tardó ni una hora en instalarla, lo único es que tuvo que asegurar bien las uniones colocándoles teflón a todas las roscas para evitar filtraciones, que es precisamente el dolor de cabezas de este tipo de trabajo.
Gracias a Dios ya tenemos el fregadero operativo nuevamente con llave, mangueras y llaves de arresto nuevas, Espero que pase mucho tiempo antes que vuelva a ocurrir una indeseada filtración.
Siempre es recomendable periodicamente abrir y cerrar las llaves de arresto para que no se peguen, sobretodo en lugares como mi ciudad donde el agua potable tiene gran dureza por la presencia de sales de calcio o magnesio que se acumulan en las conexiones y les van disminuyendo el diámetro de salida del chorro de agua hasta taparlas.

Back with you again to bring you the final outcome of a story that began when the kitchen sink drawer flooded and yesterday came to a happy conclusion when I was able to get the proper faucet and the process of installing it was done.
As I had told you previously, the hoses and stopcocks were replaced because they were in bad shape, but it turned out that the main leak was coming from the sink faucet and I had to replace it.
The faucet I bought I really liked for three reasons: it's stainless steel, it's heavy with an adjustable head, and a dispenser that has two types of outlets: jet and shower head. In addition, it has a threaded part that is manually tightened from underneath without the need for tools and the last reason is its price: in the market there were wrenches similar to this one but with a higher price.
As soon as I bought the faucet I called the plumber to do the installation. Actually I wanted to install it because I only had to undo the hoses, remove the damaged faucet and put the new one, fixing it to the kitchen cabinet, but as I have an eye operation I should not invent and I preferred someone else to do it.
The plumber didn't even take an hour to install it, the only thing is that he had to secure the joints by placing Teflon on all the threads to avoid leaks, which is precisely the headache of this type of work.
Thank God we have the sink working again with new faucet, hoses and stopcocks, I hope it will be a long time before an unwanted leak happens again.
It is always advisable to periodically open and close the stopcocks so that they do not stick, especially in places like my city where the drinking water has great hardness due to the presence of calcium or magnesium salts that accumulate in the connections and decrease the diameter of the water stream until they become clogged.
