This is a tank that was built a long time ago, one of those cement tanks that according to my mother-in-law was built so that the workers could get the water for the construction. Those tanks here in Margarita and in the rest of the country, I think they are common, especially in houses that are many years old.
Well, it turns out that this tank is in the patio and the cover of this tank is made of quite thick sheets, it turns out that a few days ago a branch of one of the bushes of the house next door broke and moved one of these sheets and everything that was on the roof as well as one of the sheets fell into the tank and that is something that had to be solved.

Hola amigos de Hive y de Home Solutions, espero que estén bien y que todo marche bien en sus casas, por mi parte les vine a contar de un problema que tuvimos con uno de los tanques de agua de la casa. Este es un tanque que se construyó hace mucho tiempo, de esos de cemento que según cuenta la suegra se hizo para que de ahí los trabajadores agarraran el agua agua para la construcción. Esos tanques aquí en Margarita y en el resto del país creo que son comunes sobre todo en casas que tienen muchos años.
Bueno resulta que ese tanque está en el patio y la tapa de este tanque son unas láminas bastante gruesas, pues resulta que hace unos días una rama de una de las matas de la casa del lado se partió y movió una de estas láminas y todo lo que había sobre el techo además de una de las láminas cayó en el tanque y eso es algo que tenía que solucionarse.
The good thing is that this is not the only tank in the house, we have 4 more, of the plastic ones that have come out lately, because here with the problem with the water sometimes we spend more than 40 days without water arriving and the mother-in-law has many plants in the house and this tank is mostly to help us when the water takes a long time to arrive, because from there we supply the other tanks, besides it is used to water the plants, so I could not stop solving this, especially because the water was about to arrive, so with the help of Matias I started to work on it.
It has been quite a lot of work and we have been working on it for days because many cactus had grown on the roof, as well as the small branches of the neighbor's mango trees, and most of those things fell inside, so we had to empty the tank, remove all the sheets, take out all the garbage that had fallen and clean it well.

Lo bueno es que ese no es el único tanque de la casa, tenemos 4 más, de los de plástico que han salido últimamente, porque aquí con el problema con el agua a veces pasamos hasta más de 40 sin que llegue y la suegra tiene muchas matas en la casa y ese tanque es más que todo para auxiliarnos cuando demora mucho el agua en volver a llegar, porque de ahí surtimos a los otros tanques, además que se usa para regar las matas, así que no podía dejar de resolver esto sobre todo porque el agua estaba por llegar así que con la ayuda de Matías me puse en eso.
Ha sido bastante trabajo y llevamos días en eso porque arriba habían crecido muchos cactus sobre el techo, además de las ramas pequeñas de las matas de mango de la vecina, y la mayoría de esas cosas cayó adentro, entonces había que vaciar el tanque sacar todas las láminas, sacar toda la basura que había caído y limpiarlo bien.

I did that with a bucket and a shovel, and when I had already removed a good amount of water Rosa thought of using a damaged quilt to help finish drying, what I did was to put it on the floor and move it from one side to the other, and that helped, we also put old pillows in it and that way the work advanced more.

Estamos desde el sábado en eso y nos hemos demorado porque ha estado lloviendo en estos días y no hemos podido terminar, pero hemos adelantado bastante porque sacamos las láminas, sacamos todos los escombros y se vacio el tanque pero no todo porque resulta que el tubo para sacar el agua no está tan bajo como debería así que me tocó con un tobo comenzar a sacar esa agua que como ven en la fotos era charco más bien de la cantidad de tierra que cayó.
Eso lo hice con un tobo y una pala, y cuando ya había sacado una buena cantidad de agua a Rosa se le ocurrió usar un edredón dañado para ayudar a terminar de secar, lo que hice fue ponerlo en el piso y moverlo de un lado a otro, y eso ayudó, también metimos almohadas viejas y así el trabajo avanzó más.
Then I started with a broom to try to remove more mud but I had to leave it for another day because it started to get dark. Now I am praying that it is not going to rain and that the sun warms up so that the soil dries out and I can sweep it easier, get it all out and wash the tank very well to be able to fill it and hopefully we can finish it today because last night the water started to arrive.
At least we have already filled the other tanks, but we also need to fill this one, so when I get home from work I will show you how everything turned out, but I will show you tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be with us because it is cloudy but at least it hasn't rained.

Después me puse con una escoba a tratar de sacar más fango pero tuve que dejarlo para otro día porque comenzó a oscurecer. Ahora lo que estoy es rogando que no vaya a llover y que caliente el sol para que sea tierra seseque y poder barrerla más fácil, sacarla toda y lavar el tanque muy bien para poder poner a llenarlo y ojalá que hoy se pueda terminar porque anoche comenzó a llegar el agua.
Por lo menos ya pusimos los otros tanques a llenar pero este también necesitamos llenarlo así que cuando llegue del trabajo debo ponerme en eso y luego les muestro cómo quedó todo, pero ya será mañana o pasado mañana que se los muestre. Ojalá que el tiempo nos acompañe porque esta nublado pero por lo menos no ha llovido.
Y bueno amigos, los mantengo al tanto de este trabajo de imprevisto que nos cayó encima. Saludos y hasta otro momento.

Un trabajo fuerte sacar todo ese lodo pero si hace sol, será más fácil. Vale la pena reparar el tanque porque el problema del agua lo amerita. Saludos

Esto ha sido un trabajón horrible, gracias a Dios que no hizo mucho sol en estos días para que pudiesen hacer todo sin tanto calor.
Tremendo trabajo, el tanque es grande, espero puedan llenarlo pronto y abastecerse, es muy difícil estar sin agua.
