Good evening one and all. I hope your Monday has been great and you are all well.
Night's of lp don't come much better than this particular night. Out the door early as it's dark come 4.30 and back home by 10 with this beauty in the bag. I haven't been this excited about seeing an image pop up on my camera screen for a long time. That rush is harder and harder to come by these days but the pursuit of it is still just as fun as it has always been.
This one inspired by my partner in light Chris T and the beauty of a shot he bagged before this one.
Two tripods, two lenses, a drill, the tank from an old water pistol, vape and a laser.
As near as makes no difference straight out of the camera.
Shot during a single long exposure in the darkness of our favourite lime kiln.
Cheers to Chris for yet another superb night out and his help with this one. Top man.
I'm just glad I trimmed my nose hair earlier on this afternoon :)
Firstly Chris lit my face with a laser pen mounted on a drill. Panning it whilst the laser span to illuminate the contours on my face.
Next I swapped tripods to a predetermined spot and I took up position in front of a second laser mounted on a lightstand. Beneath that was my flashgun with an orange gel covering the flash.
Chris took the lens cap off and I held still, Chris fired the flash and we let the light from the laser burn into the image.
Great times in top company.

Superb mates! How did you guys manage with the laser on the face (I mean with open eyes)?
I put my body on the line for my art 😂😂 It was only on my eye for a short time as it was spinning so fast. Cheers buddy.
I never use laser because I'm really scared about that risk you getting blind
I think if you shine it directly in and keep the beam focused on the retina you'll have problems. I had a sight test a few weeks back and there was no damage. I won't be making a habit of doing these though :)
Another one of those shots, "how do we top that?" lol.. While I was spinning the laser I remember being a bit concerned over the laser burning your eyes... We should try this again with the red laser (if I can find it...)
I may close my eyes next time. :) It was a great night as I remember and yours was a peach too.
Thanks, maybe bring a pair of shades next time and try reflecting a figure in them...Might be one for the 366 lol
It's in the ideas bank primed and ready to go :) Cheers pal.
Thanks for the support folks :)
