Hello once more Hiveworld. Back again with a fresh piece I created last week using stencils and the insides of an old server.
Usual tripod swapping, long exposure procedure in the kitchen and job done with a banging line up.
First I worked out the lighting for the computer board. This element was important as I was looking for this very specific bokeh which my modded Helios 44-2 lens exhibits. Once Happy with that and the placement of the central microchip. This element would remain in shadow so I could fill that with element 2.
Element 2 was the central silhouette from one of my favourite ever light paintings shown below.
I took 4 pieces of cardboard and placed them to form a square on my phone screen whilst the above image was being displayed. I placed the second tripod so that when I moved my camera from tripod 1 this element would fall in the shadow area of element 1. Once happy with the placement I put both elements together during a single long exposure.
