It's ocurred to me lately that I haven't used a laser in a while. In this shot, I had no 'big' smoke grenades with me so here I was stood at the back of this shot furiously setting alight as many smoke pellets as I could in a minute:
Here I've used a camera rotation device and a prismatic filter over my lens for this whacky effect:
If you attached the laser to a drill and spin, this is the effect you get:
Here I've used a laser levelling device at floor level and threw smoke pellets on the floor to make a "carpet" of light (and then rotated it, all in one exposure):

I like the last one, the geometry of lines looks very nice on this one.
Thanks @creativemary, this is still an experiment in progress ready for improvement. Keeping the smoke at low level so as not to cloud over the rest of the scene is not easy.... :-)
