I realised lately that I don't do much actual waving lights in the dark as a lightpainting photographer. I spend most of my time with lighting, lasers, rotations and smoke effects. This is a post to put that right and show some of the stuff I've made by vigorously waving lights in the dark!
This is a shot in an abandoned factory where I waved a home made LED light stick methuselah style:
This is the same abandoned factory but this time the light waving skills were provided by visiting lightpainter, Tom Hill. The rest of the scene was lit by me:
And this image was shot at approximately 3:30 am outside Lincoln cathedral on a 24 hour charity model photoshoot. The strobe on the torch is designed to be slightly irregular so as not to induce epilepsy and the changing frequency is something I can take advantage of in this image:
All of the above were shot in one photographic exposure and are not Photoshop creations!
About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
