¡Saludos amigos de #Hive, usuarios de #liketu y atletas de #swc! Desde hace tiempo quería compartir mi experiencia en la Beast Endurance, un evento organizado por el equipo de Calistenia Spartan Brothers que tuvo lugar en Maracay en diciembre de 2024. Sin embargo, debido a mis limitaciones de tiempo y a un reto personal que estaba llevando a cabo en esos días, pospuse esta publicación hasta hoy. A pesar de que ha pasado un tiempo, recuerdo ese día como si hubiera sido ayer, lleno de emociones y momentos inolvidables.
Greetings #Hive friends, #liketu users and #swc athletes! For a long time I wanted to share my experience in the Beast Endurance, an event organized by the Spartan Brothers Calisthenics team that took place in Maracay in December 2024. However, due to my time constraints and a personal challenge I was undertaking in those days, I postponed this post until today. Even though some time has passed, I remember that day as if it was yesterday, full of emotions and unforgettable moments.
El ambiente en el evento fue totalmente competitivo, pero también fraternal. Atletas de distintos lugares se animaron a participar en esta competencia, que comenzó desde horas de la mañana. La energía era palpable; cada rincón del lugar estaba lleno de risas, gritos de aliento y el sonido de los cuerpos en movimiento. Era evidente que todos estaban allí no solo para competir, sino para superarse a sí mismos y apoyarse mutuamente en el proceso.
The atmosphere at the event was totally competitive, but also fraternal. Athletes from different places were encouraged to participate in this competition, which began in the morning hours. The energy was palpable; every corner of the place was filled with laughter, shouts of encouragement and the sound of moving bodies. It was evident that everyone was there not only to compete, but to better themselves and support each other in the process.
Spartan Brothers ha sido un club deportivo con el que hemos cultivado una relación muy buena en los últimos años. Su compromiso con la calistenia y el desarrollo de la comunidad es admirable, y por eso decidí apoyarlos asistiendo a este evento. Mi rol en la competición fue como juez en ambas categorías: principiantes y avanzados. Evalué distintos parámetros técnicos en cada ejercicio, tales como la ejecución, el rango de movimiento, la postura y la técnica. Cada atleta se esforzaba al máximo, y yo tenía la responsabilidad de asegurarme de que cada uno recibiera una evaluación justa y precisa. La jornada fue larga, pero sumamente gratificante. Ver a los atletas esforzarse al máximo, algunos enfrentando sus propios miedos y limitaciones, fue inspirador. Cada repetición era un testimonio del trabajo duro y la dedicación que habían puesto en su entrenamiento. Fue emocionante ver cómo los principiantes se lanzaban a la competencia con valentía, mientras que los avanzados demostraban habilidades impresionantes y una técnica pulida. Cada uno, sin importar su nivel, tenía una historia que contar y un camino recorrido que valía la pena reconocer.
Spartan Brothers has been a sports club with whom we have cultivated a very good relationship over the past few years. Their commitment to calisthenics and community development is admirable, which is why I decided to support them by attending this event. My role in the competition was as a judge in both categories: beginners and advanced. I evaluated different technical parameters in each exercise, such as execution, range of motion, posture and technique. Each athlete was trying their best, and I had the responsibility to make sure that each athlete received a fair and accurate evaluation. The day was long, but extremely rewarding. Watching the athletes push themselves to the limit, some facing their own fears and limitations, was inspiring. Each repetition was a testament to the hard work and dedication they had put into their training. It was exciting to watch the beginners bravely jump into the competition, while the advanced athletes demonstrated impressive skills and polished technique. Each one, no matter their level, had a story to tell and a journey they had made that was worth recognizing.
Quiero agradecer sinceramente a los organizadores por la invitación y por crear un espacio donde todos pudieran demostrar su potencial. La pasión que tienen por la calistenia es contagiosa y se refleja en cada detalle del evento. También quiero felicitar a todos los ganadores del día; su esfuerzo y dedicación son dignos de admiración. Cada uno de ustedes es una inspiración para quienes estamos en este camino del deporte. A medida que cerrábamos el evento, el sentido de comunidad se hizo aún más fuerte. Todos compartimos risas, anécdotas y promesas de volver a encontrarnos en futuras competencias. Estos momentos son los que realmente importan; no solo se trata de ganar o perder, sino de crecer juntos como atletas y como personas.
I want to sincerely thank the organizers for the invitation and for creating a space where everyone could demonstrate their potential. The passion they have for calisthenics is contagious and is reflected in every detail of the event. I would also like to congratulate all the winners of the day; your effort and dedication are to be admired. Each of you is an inspiration to those of us who are on this path of sport. As we closed the event, the sense of community became even stronger. We all shared laughs, anecdotes and promises to meet again in future competitions. These moments are what really matter; it's not just about winning or losing, it's about growing together as athletes and as people.
