¡Saludos a toda la comunidad de Hive y Street Workout! Espero que todos ustedes estén muy bien y disfrutando de la semana. En el día de hoy, será el primer post de varios que les traeré sobre el viaje al estado Falcón, Punto Fijo, y la experiencia participando como atleta en el 1° Versus por Categoría en la Playa Manaure el pasado 8 de marzo. Organizado gracias a la blockchain de Hive y al líder de la comunidad SWC, @manuelramos, junto a sus moderadores, haciendo el mejor trabajo posible para darnos un evento único. Estoy muy agradecido y feliz por haber estado presente.
Greetings to the whole Hive and Street Workout community! I hope you are all well and enjoying the week. Today, it will be the first post of several that I will bring you about the trip to Falcón state, Punto Fijo, and the experience participating as an athlete in the 1st Versus by Category in Playa Manaure last March 8th. Organised thanks to the Hive blockchain and the SWC community leader, @manuelramos, together with his moderators, doing the best job possible to give us a unique event. I am very grateful and happy to have been present.
Como bien les estaba contando, hoy quiero dedicarme a hablarles de cómo fue el trayecto hacia el estado Falcón. Con varias fotografías que tomé, esa mañana al llegar al punto de encuentro fue un momento en el cual dije en mi mente: "esto parece un sueño, pero en realidad no lo es". La verdad es que estaba muy emocionado; estábamos esperando al CEO con las cosas que faltaban para la competencia. Yo, mientras tanto, estaba junto a mi mamá, ya que ella estaba muy emocionada porque iba a viajar a competir en otro estado que no sea Aragua; me deseó toda la buena suerte ese día. Llegó el CEO y ya era momento de viajar. Una vez montados en el autobús, hablamos un buen rato, ya que el viaje era largo, más o menos como 7 u 8 horas; esto va a depender del chófer. Podíamos hablar, dormir, echar broma, etc., mientras llegábamos a nuestro destino.
As I was telling you, today I want to tell you about the journey to Falcón state. With several pictures I took, that morning when I arrived at the meeting point was a moment in which I said in my mind: ‘this seems like a dream, but in reality it is not’. The truth is that I was very excited; we were waiting for the CEO with the things that were missing for the competition. I, meanwhile, was next to my mum, as she was very excited because she was going to travel to compete in another state other than Aragua; she wished me all the good luck that day. The CEO arrived and it was time to travel. Once we were on the bus, we talked for a long time, as the trip was long, about 7 or 8 hours, depending on the driver. We could talk, sleep, joke, etc., while we reached our destination.
En el camino, en la ciudad de Puerto Cabello, Manuel Ramos nos brindó empanadas y absolutamente a todos nosotros se nos quitó el sueño 😂. Cada uno de nosotros fue a buscar sus empanadas y hablamos un buen rato más hasta que otra vez cada uno se fue a descansar un rato. El viaje fue muy largo; hubo un momento en que nos paró la policía para pedir cédula; esto es muy normal. Pero aprovechamos para pararnos un rato y disfrutar un poco del sol ya que estábamos muriendo de frío; sin embargo, yo prefiero el frío antes que el calor.
On the way, in the city of Puerto Cabello, Manuel Ramos offered us empanadas and absolutely all of us lost sleep 😂. Each one of us went to get our empanadas and we talked for a long time until we all went to rest for a while. The trip was very long; there was a moment when we were stopped by the police to ask for ID cards; this is quite normal. But we took the opportunity to stop for a while and enjoy a bit of sunshine as we were freezing to death; however, I prefer the cold to the heat.
Más adelante, por fin llegamos a Falcón y quedaba llegar a la ciudad de Punto Fijo. Pasamos por el parque nacional Los Médanos de Coro, bastante bonito la verdad. Luego de otras horas más en el autobús, por fin llegamos a la ciudad de Punto Fijo. Primero fuimos a la posada a dejar nuestras cosas, cambiarnos y sobre todo almorzar, que fue arroz chino, tajadas y arepita frita junto a los jugos que compró el líder de la comunidad. Hablamos otro rato más hasta que por fin llegó el momento de ir a la playa para competir. Further on, we finally reached Falcón and had to reach the city of Punto Fijo. We drove through the national park Los Médanos de Coro, which was really quite beautiful. After another few hours on the bus, we finally arrived in the city of Punto Fijo. First we went to the posada to leave our things, change and above all have lunch, which was arroz chino, tajadas and fried arepita along with juices bought by the community leader. We talked for another while until finally it was time to go to the beach to compete. I'll leave it at that, guys; as I told you, this will be the first of several posts I'll be doing.
