Hello rally fans :)!
The world of rallying could see an iconic return as Lancia considers a potential re-entry into the World Rally Championship (WRC). Once a dominant force with its Delta Integrale, it has has sparked excitement by unveiling the Ypsilon HF Rally4. However, Lancia’s ambitions for a top-tier comeback in the WRC rest on one major factor: support from the FIA🙏🏻.
The legendary automaker’s interest aligns with rally fans’ hopes, yet the current structure of the WRC has many challenges. They are evaluating whether the investment would provide sufficient brand exposure and a solid return. For Lancia to step back into the WRC, the FIA would need to make the sport more accessible to manufacturers, possibly through regulatory changes or cost-reduction strategies, and the same has been asked for by many teams.
For now, it’s all on FIA so let’s hope for the best :)!
