Hello rally fans :)!
I’ve recently started helping @ssekulji with testing his new pacenote system. With only one rally behind me (which wasn’t even close to what Slaven is doing), diving into this new system has been both challenging and rewarding. It has also opened my eyes (and made me respect him even more than I already do) to the immense effort @ssekulji pours into every aspect of rally preparation. He puts so much time and like the saying goes “blood, sweat & tears” into perfecting every detail.
We’ve already practiced several times, and while he insists I’m improving, I can’t go against my perfectionist tendencies and then I feel frustrated when I don’t get everything right. Being a perfectionist is hard enough, but being a codriver takes that challenge to a whole new level. This role isn’t just about reading notes—it’s about timing, precision, and being in sync with the driver. If you’re wondering, Slaven is doing an amazing job :). It’s a hard process to learn the whole system all over again, so props to him for doing it like a champ. He was the only person that was willing to teach me everything and I’ll remember it forever and be eternally grateful :).
Still, every session is a step forward. I’m learning to trust the process and focus on progress instead of perfection. It’s just unbelievably amazing to see how much teamwork and trust go into every rally. Though I have a long way to go, I’m determined to get there—one pace note at a time.
Thanks for your help! It is really great effort from your side :)
Please, I insist :). It’s a bigger honor to me ;D.
I could always be better :)
