Kris Meeke won 2024 Portuguese rally championship with Hyundai i20 Rally2 car and now another big name heads there. Yeah, Portuguese national series is one of the best in the World (beside French and Italian) but what is important is that in Portugal they have four gravel events and foir tarmac events.
That means you have to be complete driver to win the Championship. And Meeke and Sordo certainly are the caliber for this.
Irishman Kris Meeke won five World Rally Championship events while Spaniard Dani Sordo won three WRC events. Another big thing is that Meeke will drive Toyota Yaris Rally2 (he won 2024 Championship with Hyundai) while Sordo will be in Hyundai i20 Rally2.

Meeke is ok but not my favorite driver...
Not my favorite either, but he was always entertaining and his attitude always seemed fairly positive. Never had the privilege of meeting him personally, but I've heard he's a very nice guy, willing to chat with everyday people.
