Swede Oliver Solberg didn't win the WRC2 Championship despite being in contention for a title until the last event in Japan, which he didn't drive at all.
Yeah, he was waiting for Sami Pajari to make mistake which didn't come so Pajari won the title and Solberg jr couldn't do anything about it. To be honest, I don't regret him because therewas lots of hate from him against Yohan Rossel until he made mistake at Central European Rally this year. That's not sportsmanship and that should not be part of the sport.
Now there is a strong rumour that Solberg jr could drive Toyota Yaris Rally2 car under Finnish team Printsport Racing and we know that this team is Toyota's WRC2 outfit which gave Pajari a Championship winning car.
Some goodresults could help Solberg for possible WRC1 outings in 2026. Lets see what future brings...
