Hi, friends!
Rally di Roma Capitale is one of the most interesting tarmac events of the European Rally Championship. But I would say that this event could be easily part of the World Rally Championship as well because of the quality of the special stages.
I heard that top guys from Italian Motorsport Federation will vote for this rally in the future if there will be any question of event instead of Rally Sardinia which is current member of the WRC calendar.
OK, Sardinia is a gravel rally while Rally Roma di Capitale is pure tarmac event ran always in the middle of the summer.
Let's talk about Andrea Crugnola who also works as a driving coach at Vittorio Caneva rally school in Italy. This guy is one of the best Italian tarmac specialists but I never saw any gravel event that he did so we can talk about him as a pure tarmac driver.
But he showed the whole world when he has everything sorted (lots of miles with the rally car he knows upside-down, rally insurance, top co-driver) that he can fight with the best international drivers in the world.
OK, he knows this rally very good so there would be a question if he would come somewhere and perform equally at some event he doesn't know that good.
Anyway, he did great job with Citroen C3 Rally2 car which can be seen from this onboard. Please enjoy...
