Hi, friends!
Hankook tire manufacturer won the tender for World Rally Championship in following four or five years and Monza Rally in Italy, although not part of WRC anymore, was farewell event for each of three manufacturers who sent their crews there for a test.
I don't think they used Hankook tires which are their obligation for next season but I know that Toyota and Hyundai tested their cars without hybrid units and the only team drove with hybrid boost was M-Sport Ford which driver Adrien Fourmaux won event.
So Pirelli is out and Hankook is in sport at the top level. Let we see what kind of quality they can offer because Pirelli and Michelin were just in front so far.

This should be interesting….
Yeah. But Pirelli is much better rubber then Hankook. At least for now...
Maybe for racing - but day to day driving, and I’ve had both - I’ll take Hankook for my truck, but Pirelli for my car……
Pirelli is better if you ask me...
Yup, for my Corolla, Pirelli were amazing - handled like it was on rails - tried them on my 4Runner and they were horrible. Constant punctures and off-road handling - not very good IMO, but the 4Runner is considerably heavier and “purpose built”……
Ok, I understand. I can only talk about racing rubber...
