People often confuse making a wish with making a decision.
They say things like:
"I want to go to the gym."
"I want to improve my marriage."
"I want to become fit."
"I want to make more money."
"I want to start my own business."
When in fact they should say:
"Tomorrow morning, I will go to the [insert name of the gym here] and pay for a one-year subscription."
"Today, when she comes back from work, I will drop everything and be fully present with her because I want to improve our communication."
"Tomorrow at 7 am, I will start a one-year challenge to run every day for 365 days; No exceptions. "
"Today, after our board meeting, I'm going to research my new product idea."
"Next week on Monday morning, I will go to the [Insert the name of the institution] and apply for the business registration papers."
Saying to yourself what you WANT is acknowledging your WISH; saying what you will DO is committing to a specific ACTION.
And guess what -specific actions create specific results.
Making a decision is like setting a goal and locking it in, but nothing is certain until you start taking action and follow up with it.
And that is because decisions are not validated by words, thinking, or even having an intention, but by taking action and expending the energy necessary to achieve a desired outcome.
Making a wish is good.
Having an intention is better.
Making a decision is necessary.
Taking action is required.
If you wish for something, wish to make a decision.
