Talk is cheap but only a cruel person speaks without empathy.
I received a call from a friend at a very odd time of the day yesterday and I knew there was a reason why she called at that time.
Even though I was too tired to talk because I danced my legs out at an event I attended earlier yesterday, I still managed to make myself available to listen to her.
She just went straight to the point without pleasantries.. Showing the urgency of the matter. "Amie, can you believe what.... Said to my mom? "
I knew it was gonna be a very long night. I took a deep breath and let her pour out her heart.
Apparently, someone said something very unkind to her mom and she saw her mom cry profusely. The words has been ringing a bell in her head.
She just couldn't take her mind off it and everytime she it echoed in her head, she let out a tear.
The words the person said to her mom pierced her to bone marrow and broke her to pieces.
What really happened? She corrected the person's child for being ill mannered.
A young child who refuses to acknowledge older ones. He is so rude and talk down on others.
My friend's mom decided to correct him and then his mother lashed out on her.
In her words.. "Old fool who is quarter to be buried has no right to correct my child."
My friend asked if she should confront the lady but I told her to let it go. Karma is a bitch and it will surely come looking for her sooner or later. What goes around comes around, all we need is time.
No matter how much we try to run away from the consequences of our action, someday we will have to face it.
May we be very wise to select our words carefully before we spill. The tongue has no bone but it can break or make a person.
Be a force for good, a source of encouragement and let your tongue lift a weary soul up.
Don't ever be a reason someone goes down on their knees and groan. Dont be a reason why someone thinks there's no more hope in them or life isn't worth living anymore.
Be kind not just in deeds but in words. Even when you're upset, remain silent if your words will crush a person. When you do, you show how mature you are and nothing beats a person with self-control especially when they are upset.

That mother to an unruly son will have it coming for soon enough.
Your friend should try and be calm because there is no use confronting the woman. It would it lead to more and more squabbles which would be a hassle.

OMG, that is such a cruel thing to say. But you're right, confrontation solves nothing. Someone like that will definitely be taught a lesson by the universe sooner or later.
I feel even sadder for the child, if he/she has to grow up around such a person that speaks cruel words, I wonder what kind of person they'll grow up to be.

She shouldn't have said those word's to the woman, there is no wrong in giving corrections, people learn everyday, and it is through the things we are told.
The tongue is a little,but a mighty weapon that can set a house ablaze. I really understand her pains. But the truth still remains that the seed we plant, we will someday reap it.
One ought to be very wise when using the tongue.
