Many people have made it look as though asking questions is the worst thing that can happen to a person. There's a popular adage in my country that says: "person wey dey ask questions no dey ever miss road."
I recall when I was in high school and how most of my classmates make mockery of a person who summoned the courage to ask questions as if it's a taboo. Some of them laughing, have no idea the answer to such questions. when the teacher throws back the question at them, they become dumb. Others really want to know but they are too shy to ask questions.
My point exactly is; asking questions doesn't mean a person is less intelligent. Some might be curious, others night seek clarity, while others would love to know if they are on the right path. It's really far from being a dullard.
I for one, I'm a very inquisitive person right from childhood. I love to seek answers to my question or find clarity when I'm confused.
I find out that, asking reasonable questions made me smarter and wiser. It helped me mitigate mistakes and helped thought outside the box. Little wonder, I make lots of research during my spare time.
It has exposed me to different cultures, traditions, and other things I would typically not know about.
I love how people admire my courage to stand up tall and ask questions when I want to be in the know. Especially now I'm in a fashinin academy. Our tutors brought new methods to the classroom which was far from what I've known all my life as a fashion designer.
The part I'm not getting right, I ensure to ask why it is so and it has helped me familiarize myself with the new method. Most of the people in class assume they understand, until it gets to the classwork time. You see them stylishly drawing closer to me or anything one who understood it better so that they can see how it's been done.
Even on buses, I've seen strangers shut their mouth so they don't appear foolish because they do not know where they are headed. They'll rather let the commercial car drive past their destination than ask where exactly they should alight.
In summary, fear of people can make us become cowards. It's about time we stood our grounds and seek clarity when we want to be in the know.
Even if people make mockery of us, we know we are on the right path and are not headed for doom. It's better safe than sorry and it's better to be enlightened than die of ignorance.
Read, ask questions, make research, explore and continue to improve your mentality. In time, you'll find out that you've become smarter, wiaer and even eloquent in your speech and your reasoning has improved.
Don't let other people validate your existence. Don't let them make you feel stupid. Be bold, be brave, and keep finding answers to questions that's been a burden to your soul. I bet you, you'll feel happier than the choice of dying the silence.

I remember my "school time" and how I had always hundreds of questions for teachers, but only for those that I liked... hehehehe... I wanted to know why is something like that, and why certain things happen... Nowadays, I have to admit that I ask way fewer questions... Maybe it's a mix between lack of courage, or "saving someone else's time", I don't know... Asking questions is important, and most of the time, people who are answering questions are happy to help! I know that I'm always happy if I can help with my knowledge!
You are doing great by asking questions... It will help you a lot to grow and to be a better tailor, better Hivian, and better person! ๐ป

I remembered my epic as a good student with this post; I asked a lot, that is something that characterizes me and now that I direct the process, I like that the students ask me questions because it is a sign that they reflect and need more from me for that.

When you ask questions, you receive answers, no matter how small. I also encourage asking questions so that one can find rest in their souls.
@amiegeoffrey I don't think that being curious and asking questions and questioning things is a problem, because on the contrary it encourages people to be creative.
