Very well written @kenechukwu97 I could feel your journey through these troubles.
I agree with your conclusion. The main problem though is the kind of person we are. Our first destination that the brain will take us to is always going to be in line with who we are. We can of course through practice create the next step of moving away from the default position to a more active one.
I am a think before you jump person. For the larger strategic points in life this helps a lot. Even when sudden fires happen I am good at resolving them without a moment's thought cause I work on auto just resolving one issue after another. So when I have a long distance activity or I have an absolutely urgent matter, in both these cases I tick well. However for medium distance activity where I need to quickly take action I end up procrastinating. It might be something I don't have enough info about. Or something that will not make everyone happy. I will waste time trying to work out the best possibility and by the time I find that we have already lost time. Luckily for me, in my life I have my wife, who is act before thinking person. So for most important things she pushes ahead and does not allow me to get stuck up in my own thinking.
To the final message in your post I will just add one more thing - actually verbalize or physically write down the problem. It is a whole different feel when you speak out or write down your problem rather than keep it in your head.
Thank you for making me think about this. Good subject and well written.
Wow... Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this. I genuinely appreciate it and I'm glad you also shared a tip on how to understand problems and subsequently come up with solutions.
Writing down or verbalizing a problem is something I would like to give a shot. I know that problems will always come our way at certain points in life and I want to be able to create solutions for each of these problems.
