Bloom where you're planted. It's a simple reminder. I've spent some time thinking about it. I found that image painted on the concrete during a walk. I know life gives you reminders throughout your day. Subtle hints to remind you of what you already know.
The walk was a random decision to take a break, and go for a walk in a random location. It's a silly little painting, and I know that if I meditated deeply on it. There's a lot of truth in that statement. Though I find I have to choose to reflect the positive lately.
I read a book called The untethered soul a while back. I bring it up because I was thinking about the word untethered. The book itself was about disconnecting and releasing yourself from the limitations of life. Though recently I feel like an untethered boat caught in a current.
Yet as I right this, the simple act of finding a quiet place and writing has chased those feelings away. I guess that's all I needed. A simple disconnect, the act of stepping away from the have to and allowing your your thoughts to settle. That's all I needed.
