Oof it’s like that in Croatia too😅. If you’re a foreigner and speak badly about the country you won’t be accepted well😅. I guess for us (although I’m not like that) defending our country and keeping its independence is the most important thing. We had terrible wars here so being proud of the country and not letting anyone say anything bad (although it is bad) is a big thing 😅

I think even when the truth is "uncomfortable", we should listen and try to improve.
There's an arabic saying thay goes: " God bless a man who gifted my flaws to me."
Meaning we should be thankful for anyone who points out our flaws so we can work on them. Of course they should point it out politely haha
