That's very likely @foxkoit! People have been working on their own, tbh. We haven't seen the government do anything (except for clearing portions of the road). For a week now, help has been coming mostly from private institutions and concerned citizens and even those affected tried to reach out to those badly hit by the typhoon. It's just heart warming to see how people help each other.

community is the key to everything, and it's the biggest part of the nation that scares the government.

We haven't heard from the national government really but on my way home last night, it felt like better days are ahead. Our friends from other regions (not affected by the typhoon) have been sending whatever help they can send to us here in Cebu. We'll be recovering from all the destruction in no time.
