Human life is unpredictable, and nobody knows what will happen in the next moments. Instead of uncertainty, everyone wants to live a happy life, and money is the most important element to be happy. For earning money, some people cross all the limits and don't care about the dignity. Again, there are some people who care about dignity more in their life.
Today I am going to share a story with my relatives, more specifically the niece of my father. Since my childhood, I have seen many times that my mother used to give all the unused clothes to my father's niece for her kids. At that time, I just knew that the financial condition was not so good. I didn't know her life experience. I liked her because she was very friendly to me and loved me. I started to grow up, and I acknowledged a little bit more about her—that she lost her husband while two sons and one daughter of hers were very little. Raising three children without a husband is a very difficult task. Although I am friendly to her, I never dared to ask about her life experiences. Today she came to the city for health treatment, and my father brought her to our flat.
Today I was talking with her on a random topic, which ended up sharing her life experiences. After the death of her husband, many people suggested her to return her parents house, but she didn't choose to do it because she thought living in her husband's house was more respectable than living in her parents house after marriage. If she lived in her parents house, she might live a much better life, but she chooses to lead a respectable life.
She started working to feed her child. She was polite by her nature, and she received the help of others. There was a time when she didn't have food to fill her stomach. In the rainy season, rainwater made the house wet. Several times she was almost about to lose her child's life but somehow survived. Many people supported her, but her blood-related sister and brother humiliated her for being poor and for choosing to live in her husband's house. They refused to help her when she needed it most. She faced many difficulties and the worst phases of her life, but she never gave up and raised her child. At the current time, her children started to earn. Still, she is poor, but now her financial condition is quite better, and her child is capable enough to spend a smooth life.
A few months ago, her daughter got married. The expenses of marriage are so huge that people think several times before marriage. But in her daughter's marriage, her relatives (from her husband's side) didn't allow her to spend a single penny for the marriage. Everyone contributed to the marriage like it's the marriage of their own daughter. She never expected too much from others, but it's the thing that made her emotional. I believe that in the future her two sons will do better and her financial condition will be much better. If I discuss about the current time, I think she is quite happy, and I can feel it while she was describing her current situation. Seeing her expression, I realized again that happiness is not dependent on financial condition after being capable of fulfilling basic needs. Moreover, she never loses her dignity, even if she goes through the worst situation in her life. Her life experience is quite inspiring to me.

Your cousin's experience is saddening but despite what she went through, she is taking life in a good stride. I wish her the best and may she continue to lead a happy life despite the challenges.
