Greetings @thoughtfulposts community.

This week will be “Thanksgiving Day” (Thursday, November 28, 2024). I'd love to hear ALL about your favorite “thoughtful” memories or traditions (bonus points for original photos!) Happy Thanksgiving, dear souls!

As the invitation text of the week says, it refers to Thanksgiving, memories captured and shared of this day from previous years and how you celebrate it.

Well, I live in the country Venezuela, for this the celebration of this day, is not in the dates to celebrate, first because it is a tradition of other countries, secondly in my family and social environment as a child and adolescent and still in youth, this day is not or was not taken into account as today.

Perhaps in those days we did not hear about this celebration in schools, high schools, workplaces as a great day as they tend to celebrate it in other countries, our traditions to be thankful always remained with the date of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day itself.

The traditional Christmas dinner with the family, a great feast, the preparation of the Christmas dish, exchanges of gifts, something that has also varied a lot because of so many events of all kinds in our country Venezuela, the decoration of the house with lights, flowers and others, that give appointment to Christmas, the crib that can also be known as birth in homage to the birth of the Child God.

It is interesting to recognize that through technology, the connection with social networks has become more known about this tradition that in some places is already incorporated as a day to celebrate. The controversy that arises in the new generations of Venezuelans, they see it in the networks, they like it because it is a holiday, many celebrate without really knowing about it, where the culture comes from, what it means to give thanks and to have a day for it.

Some say, Thanksgiving Day when they say all of a sudden, I don't even know why it is celebrated in my country. The inhabitants of Venezuela who have had the opportunity and continue to have the opportunity to live in countries like the United States, Canada, St. Lucia, Liberia, Brazil, Germany and the Philippines...looking to improve their economy and quality of life are already participating in the same. The nice thing is that they join them and feel part of this celebration.

The departure of many Venezuelans makes that cultures from other countries are known in Venezuela, although social networks are already part of this dissemination of the festivities and how they have been accepted in our country.

Actually, I did not do anything in relation to this day, although there is not a day that goes by that I do not thank for everything that surrounds me, thanking is such a powerful energy that by doing it and having it as part of our day to day many movements occur in our interior. It is a wonderful energy that those who live it feel how their life is transformed by the fact of being thankful.

Thanksgiving Day is a very beautiful tradition and the importance that is given to it as it is on November 28th of each year in different countries, besides being a tradition it is an important gala for those who practice it.

Saludos comunidad @thoughtfulposts.
