Moments of Change: Path to Positivity

in ThoughtfulDailyPost3 months ago

There is a wise and old saying which is, "It's not the situation. It's how you handle it." This saying has been around for a long time. It is a very important quote. Because it teaches us an important lesson about life.

When we face some problems in life, we sometimes think the problem is too big or very hard to solve. But the above quote tell us that it is not the problem that actully matter much. How “we” deal with the problem is the thing that matters. So, its always not good to think “why me?”. I want to talk about this today because I have to share a story. It is about a time when I faced some difficult situations in life. But it was just about to bring me down, then everything changed and I was able to turn it into something positive. Its not a big story but I will share this story today so that it can inspire others who may be is now going through same times.

So, it started with a misunderstanding at school. It was annual sports day. I had accidentally stepped on someone’s foot during the annual sports of our school. First, I did not realise what happend, but then I saw the hurt look on my friends face. I felt embarrassed and scared about his response. So, I quietly said nothing and left that day in a hurry. But later after coming home I regreted about the whole situation and it came to my mind that I should not have left without saying sorry. It may not sound much but still it stuck with me for days. Because after the annual sports day, there was annual vacation and I couldn’t meet him. So, after almost half a month, after the school opened I decided to take action. I knew it wouldnt just go away.

I knew I needed say something and make things right with him again. So, the very first day of school opening, I approached my friend silently and said “Im really sorry about that day. I didnt really meant to hurt you.” It really was not easy to admit my mistake especially in front of the whole class. He looked to me with a smile and said, "It's okay. I understand." That moment was like a weight lifting off my shoulder. I learned that day that being honest can really lead to understanding and forgiveness. From then on, I also promised to myself to watch out for others during games and always checked to see if they were okay after finishing matches.

With time, our friendship grew stronger and we became more close. Other frieds of my class noticed this and they started to trust me more. It taught me that sometimes, the smallest of gestures can have the biggest of impacts.

This was quite a nice post, my friend. I have noticed you have been away for a while; I do hope everything is going okay. As for this quote... it has been one of the favorite sayings that I use. Something that I came up with when trying to talk about life issues with our grandkids. No different than my #buildingpositivebridges or #tomorrowisthegoal. All of these things, have been created by the things in my life that happen... and how I deal with them. I am glad you were able to talk to this school mate and form some kind of common bond...

Hi @nbats it is a pleasure to meet you in this interaction, I enjoyed the reading and your reflections, we transit in a flow of events and sometimes we do not make the best decision before what happened but it is valuable to go back and reflect to pick up where we left off give it a different meaning and orientation towards our welfare and that of others. Thanks for sharing, until another time, health and wellness !HUG !LUV !PIZZA !LOLZ
