I think that a while lot less of thinking is done in the moment one is speaking. And so to keep talking for so long means there's just too little thought done for such a long time. It does make sense for one to err when they talk too much.

That's just the simple explanation about everything, when we think before we talk, we just go straight to the point and people around us will not feel bored, because people easily get tired from listening to long talk... I'm not excluded.
