There's no shame in letting go

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗

We leave in a world where we have been taught to hold on to things that matter to us, be it relationships, dreams, jobs, or whatsoever, even if it's suffocating us or we are no longer comfortable with it.

Personally, I feel sometimes the bravest thing to do is to let go. Many people have confused letting go as a sign of weakness.

I was taken back to the time I once worked in a particular organization; my unit head was a pain in my neck. I dreaded mornings because of her. I was always looking forward to when I would close work for the day. I didn't hate my job; it was paying me well at that time, but my state of mind was a mess because of this particular lady.

Because of how she treated me in front of customers and the fear of her shouting and nagging at me, I unconsciously started making mistakes in some of my transactions.

I couldn't report to the head of operations or manager because they would support her.

I spoke to a few people about quitting my job, and they told me to continue enduring her.

Until I spoke to another friend who advised me to quit, he said he has never seen me complain about my job or someone the way I did my colleague, and he sensed fear in my voice.

At first I was skeptical of what my family and other people would say, but at the end I had to quit, and that was the beginning of my freedom.

I never knew I would be at peace and joyful after quitting my job.

It can be suffocating when you keep holding on to something that isn't meant for you or something that takes away your peace and joy. The burdens will drain all your energy.

There's beauty in letting go; it's never a sign of weakness but strength. Letting go means you are acknowledging that something or someone's time in your life is up; it's time for you to move on and create space for new experiences and connections.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗

It takes a very strong person to let go. Letting things go isn't a sign of weakness and like you've said, there's no shame in it. It rather benefit the person deciding to move on in so many positive ways.
